Chocolate Hummus

Oh my Goodness, this recipe was credited by Jen Wright and there are no words for this!!! You need to try it, even if you don’t like hummus you will love this. This is a perfect pairing for apples, bananas, crackers, or a spoon? My daughter (who HATES chickpeas) ate in in a wrap, with bananas and raisins. I don’t know why we never thought to try this before, but it will definitely be a staple in my kiddo’s lunch this fall.

Ingredients:
1 can organic chick peas (drained and rinsed)
3 TBSP of unsweetened cocoa
2-3 TBSP of maple syrup or honey (to taste)
¼ tsp. celtic sea salt
½ tsp. of vanilla
¼ cup water or almond milk
Optional: coconut, mint, slivered almonds

Directions:
Place all the ingredients in your food processor or blender. Blend until smooth. Add water/milk a small amount at a time until desired consistency is reached.
