Meet
Rachel Caven
Nutritionist, Clinic Director
Canada’s Expert Weight Loss Nutritionist,
specializing in healthy and sustainable weight loss,
digestive issues, hormonal health, and stress.
Rachel specializes in creating individual eating plans based on your specific needs and goals. Since no two people are exactly the same, no eating plan will be exactly the same. She believes that our bodies were designed to be healthy and that we have an innate ability to heal ourselves.
Unfortunately, our toxic environment, stressful lifestyles and lack of quality food are hindering our ability to heal. Canada has one of the most advanced healthcare systems in the world, yet we are plagued with chronic diseases. We are a nation that is overfed but undernourished!
Our advanced society and increased access to information has just made us more confused about what, when, why, and how to eat food.
Food needs to return to its original
purpose of being delicious, nourishing, health promoting, and enjoyable. It is Rachel’s mission to educate people on how eating well can be easy and improve your health and quality of life.
Rachel studied Bio-Medical Sciences at
the University of Guelph, graduating with honours in 2006. In this program, she learned just how complex our bodies are and how many processes are in place to bring the body back to health.
She knew with this incredible innate ability to heal, there had to be something missing in our modern medical system. She then studied at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and became a member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners.
Rachel founded Caven Nutrition in 2009 and has since worked with 1000’s of people to help them look and feel their best.
Rachel is a sought after international speaker and TV personality who teaches using a recipe of science, humour, and relatability.
She appears regularly on CTV Morning Live, CTV News, and Roger’s Daytime Television. She has done 100’s of speaking events, locally and around the world, including The Department of Justice, Canada Revenue Agency, Immigration Refugees, and Citizenship Canada, Export Development Canada, Shopify, International Women’s Show, Assent, The Running Room, Ontario Hydro, Workplace Safety and Prevention Services, The Natural Food Pantry, as well as many school boards and private events.
Rachel has had her work published in Chatelaine Magazine, Alive Magazine, Revive Magazine, The Huffington Post, The Ottawa Citizen, and The Ottawa Sun, among others.
If you haven’t met Rachel yet and you come into the office, chances are you will hear her laugh before you see her.
Rachel spends her “spare” time as a personal assistant to her 2 children.
